Janice Holloway, Floyd’s sister, informed Martha Cowden Cook that Floyd’s name was listed incorrectly in his obituary.  It is below:

TUSCALOOSA Glenn Eugene Holloway, age 59, of Tuscaloosa, died November 6, 2009, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Garner officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Survivors include his daughters, Racheal Stephens and Katherine Holloway; son, Glenn T. Holloway; sister, Janice Holloway; brothers, David and Mark Holloway; mother, Juanita Holloway; and grandchildren, Jacob Chavez and Meagan and Alexander Stephens.

He was a father who always put his kids first. He was the best friend anybody could have. He was a man that had a devoted heart to those he loved.

Pallbearers will be Richard Cobb, Gil Sentell, Jim Young, James Johnson, Preston Holloway, and Harold Lee Sanders. Honorary pallbearers are the VA Medical Center and Skyland Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association .
