Ronald Thomas Curtis

A proud, strong and supportive husband and father, USAF Retired TSGT Ronald (Ron) Curtis passed away on June 8, 2009.  Born Feb. 25, 1949 to Riley and Nolie Curtis, he was a loving husband and friend to Ramona Curtis for 41 years.

Ron is also survived by daughter Bobbie Sue Miller and husband Bryan; son Shane Curtis and wife Lisa; grandsons Josh, Ethan, Mason and Tyler; brother J. B. Curtis and wife Earline; brother Sandy Curtis and wife Glenda and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ron proudly served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, leading to worldwide travel.  Upon retirement, he navigated the Ohio River as museum curator for the "Always a River" Project.  He was then employed as security supervisor at the Horseshoe Casino.  He was a member of Sheffield Masonic Lodge No. 105, 32nd Degree Mason; Scottish Rite; Cypress OES No. 195, Past Patron OES Sheffield No. 32 and a Shriner of Hamasa Temple, where he served with the Clown Unit.

Masonic and military memorial services will be Monday, June 15, at Veterans Park, Shelter 2 in Florence.  Services will begin at 11 am.  In lieu of flowers, his request was that donations be made to Camp Seale Harris for Children with Diabetes or Shriner's Hospitals.
