FORT PAYNE | Mrs. Charlotte Anne Beatty Mitchell, 54, of Fort Payne, died Thursday, January 13, 2005.

Mrs. Mitchell was born November 25, 1950 in Tuscaloosa, daughter of the late Edgar Earl and Ollie Bell Hartin Beatty. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Fort Payne, Adult Choir, Youth Minister for two years, Garden Club, Civettes, N.E.A., A.E.A., Fort Payne Teacher Association, and Methodist Church Hand Bell Choir. She was a retired teacher with the Fort Payne City Schools.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Mitchell; daughter, Jennifer Hartin Mitchell of Fort Payne; son, Jonathan William Mitchell of Birmingham; and sister, Rebecca Hayes of Northport, Ala.
