This information on the death of Charles Kimball was taken from the Sept. 1 and Sept. 3 editions of The Spokane (Wash.) Chronicle in 1976. Joint memorial services for Charles G. Kimball, his wife Vivian R. and their infant son, Patrick Chase, will be at 11 a.m. Sept. 3, 1976, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, second ward, W732 Indiana. Bishop Thomas A. Hillebrant will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Terrace.

Mr. Kimball, 26, was born in Ahaskie, N.C. He and his wife had lived in Spokane since their marriage in March 1975. He was a representative for G.D. Searle Co., a pharmaceutical distributing firm. He was a member of the American Marketing Association. Mr. Kimball, his wife and infant child were killed in a plane crash the night of Aug. 31. Kimball was a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, running as a Republican against Democratic Rep. Thomas S. Foley of Spokane in the 5th District. Mr. Kimball had a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Alabama, where he had a debate scholarship and was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. Charles and Vivian's son, Patrick, was born Aug. 5, the same day Kimball's candidacy was made official.

He is survived by a daughter, Leslie Kimball, in Alabama; his father, John Kimball, in California; his mother, Jane Kimball, Holbrook, Ariz.; a sister, Jan Kimball, Fairbanks, Alaska; and a brother, Ross Kimball, Holbrook. Mrs. Kimball, 19, was born in Newport, Wash. Her survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Taylor, Elk, Wash.; a sister, Juanita Murray, Spokane; three brothers, Ray Taylor, Cheney, Wash., and Rickey Taylor and Craig Taylor, both Newport; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R.M. Kirkpatrick, Elk, and her grandfather, Joseph Taylor, Yakima. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bastlan Funeral Home, Colville, Wash.
