WICHITA, Kan. Dennis "Denny" Howard Boeder, born August 7, 1949, in Malmö, Sweden, passed away June 28, 2012, in Wichita, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elaine June O'Malley Boeder and Gilbert Herman Boeder.

He is survived by brother Bernard C. "Barney" Boeder (Barbara), niece Ashley Dill (Kody), great-nephew Jackson, nephew Robert, and great-niece Addyson, all of Dallas, Texas; brother, Edward A. "Eddie" Boeder (Suzi) and nieces Anna and Elizabeth, all of Naples, Fla.; and a cousin, Nancy Hasse Olson (Rich) of Fort Atkinson, Wis.

Dennis lived in Tuscaloosa for many years and graduated from Tuscaloosa High School in 1968. He served in the U.S. Army after high school where he was trained as an optician, which became his lifelong career. Through the years he lived in Denver and Boulder, Colo., Minneapolis, Minn., Bartlesville, Okla., and Wichita, Kan.
