There was no published obituary for Marjolaine, but a longtime friend of hers wanted to share this tribute to Marjolaine with her classmates:

Marjolaine graduated from The University of Alabama with an accounting degree. Her career was with the IRS, mostly working in the Atlanta area. She married Joe Butler, a co-worker at the IRS, in 1983, and they had a long marriage up until Joe's passing in 2005.  Marjolaine survived breast cancer and was a huge advocate for it. At 59, Marjolaine suffered a severe stroke. She never really recovered and lived our her life in an assisted living home, then a nursing home, and finally Hospice. She died on February 12, 2018. Marjolaine had no children of her own but treated her step-children and step-grandchildren like they were hers. She had a huge compassion for animals. She was kind, big-hearted, and smart!
