HAYDEN | Arlon Mack Simmons, age 64, born December 12, 1949 in Tuscaloosa, Ala., died May 19, 2014. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Memory Chapel with Rev. Tim Blackmon officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Emogene Simmons. Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Martha Townsend Simmons; daughter, Amber Marie Simmons of Hayden; son, Arlon Wade Simmons (Lindsey) of Pelham; beloved sister, Carol Sutton (Brent) of Tuscaloosa; brother-in-law, Mike Townsend (Kathy); sisters-in-law, Susan Pate (Julius) and Dawn Boyd (Jeff), all of Tuscaloosa; and grandchild, Ryder Cade Simmons.

He was a member of Mt. High Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He retired from US Pipe in 2010 after 42 ½ years of service.
