TUSCALOOSA John Daniel Patton, age 62, of Tuscaloosa, died June 21, 2012, at DCH Regional Medical Center. A private family inurnment service will be held in the First Presbyterian Church rose garden today, June 23, 2012, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church Chapel with Dr. Charles Durham officiating and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will immediately follow services at the church.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. T.H. Patton Jr., and his beloved brother, Joseph Pegues Patton.

Survivors include his brother, Thomas H. Patton III (Susan) and their children, Joseph Pegues Patton (Kam), Thomas H. Patton IV (Robin), and Martha Patton Galloway (Brandt); Janie Bostick; and great-nieces and nephews, Tess Patton, Sadie Patton, Ivey Patton, Thomas Patton, and Graham Patton.

He was educated in the Tuscaloosa City School System and Livingston University, followed by service in the Alabama National Guard. He was raised in the First Presbyterian Church of Tuscaloosa and was a lifelong resident of Tuscaloosa.
