Please join the fun at the 45th reunion of the Tuscaloosa High School Class of ’68!
A schedule of planned events, other reunion information, and available activities in Tuscaloosa are listed below.

 
FRIDAY EVENING, JUNE 14, 7:00-10:00 P.M.   Gather with old friends at Wilhagan’s (2209 4th Street in downtown Tuscaloosa) to visit, laugh, reminisce, and catch up on all that’s happened since graduation. There will be a cash bar, and you may order food, if desired. Come casual and have fun!

SATURDAY AFTERNOON, JUNE 15, 2:00 P.M.   There will be an optional guided group tour of Tuscaloosa for those who want to see how T-Town has changed since 1968—or even since 1998. It is pretty amazing! This event is by reservation only for $10 per person, which must be paid in advance. (This tour will be canceled if there are not enough reservations.) Departure location will be announced later.

SATURDAY EVENING, JUNE 15, 6:00–10:00 P.M.   Our big event will be held at Indian Hills Country Club (1650 McFarland Blvd. N.), with cocktails (cash bar) and heavy hors d’oeuvres from 6:00 until 7:00. Beginning at 7:00 we will be entertained by none other than the famous “Tiger Jack” Garrett, playing all the music we loved when we were Black Bears. If you have special musical requests, please send them to marthacook1968@gmail.com. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening. Casual dress is fine here too, unless you feel the urge to dress up a bit. A ZAP photographer will be on hand to take candid photos of you and your old buddies. These photos may be purchased online later, and there will also be a group photo taken at 6:45 p.m. There will be Black Bear t-shirts and goodies for sale and door prizes as well.

HOTEL INFORMATION   A block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn Express at 1120 Veterans Memorial Parkway across from University Mall until May 24. To get the reunion rate of $104 per night, mention “Class of 1968” when registering. This rate may be honored after the cutoff date if rooms are still available. The local number for Holiday Inn Express is 205-464-4000.

GOLF  Contact Marilyn Nevin at 205-366-0291 or mnevin@ccs.ua.edu if you are interested in golf at NorthRiver Yacht Club on Saturday, June 15. The cost is $80 per player, which includes green and cart fees. Marilyn will coordinate the arrangements and get tee times (starting at 9:30 a.m.) one week in advance.
